Description
Printed in greyscale in the ‘Leader’ on July 31, 1990, with one of an early stage in construction, and another in colour of Chanel and Kane Steffort on the convex curve. Pictured with the finished skateboard ramp are Upper Hutt Round Table members (from left) Dennis Murray, project convener, Bruce Bold, community service convener, and Trevor Shakes, president. Painted decoration was added by Upper Hutt College students in 1992. Picture printed in greyscale on 31st July 1990. The ramp was opened in July 1990. In a letter replying to a complaint of splinter injuries on February 21, 1994 it was stated that in three-and-a-half years 'the plywood decking had already been replaced six times'. Bruce Bold was chairman in a September 18, 1979 picture and was awarded the first life membership in March 1992.
