Description
This is part of a series of photos that were taken to document the rebuilding of the tube section of the Dunlop factory. Andy Anderson is preparing tubes for joining in this photograph. When ready to enter the production process, the lengths of tube were folded in half on the bench, then cut to an exact length with a heated guillotine. The offcuts were recycled. After the tubes were cut on the extrusion line, they were then recut, a valve attached, and the lengths were joined into loops (toruses) to make a "raw" tube.
