Description
This photograph is part of an album that documents the daily operations of the hospital in its final years. It shows an orderly assisting a patient between hospital buildings. Many of the buildings were not internally connected, therefore staff and patients had to brace the elements when moving around the different areas of the complex. Rain coats and ponchos were readily available. The following captions are printed above and beside the photo in the album: “Southerly arrived – sou-wester time” and “1.10”.
