Scope & contentSeries 33/1 includes 2 photograph albums containing black and white and colour photographs of "Opening day of the Civic Centre 14 Dec 1985".
Photographs have reference codes.

Series 33/2 consists of 12 envelopes and 2 large wrapped bundles, both containing exhibition items and labels.
The display items were reproductions, chiefly of photographs held by local residents or organisations, though some were copied from the Alexander Turnbull Library's collection.
The display was arranged by Councilor Stephen Wilson in December 1988 to commemorate the disestablishment of the Hutt County Council.

Organisation & Arrangement33/2 material had been kept in envelopes with a subject arrangement, presumably as they were displayed for exhibition.

Provenance

Creator (organisation)Heretaunga Pinehaven District Council HistoryHPDCC built a new civic administration building near the junction of Fergusson Drive and Field St. in Silverstream which opened on 14 December 1985.
The Council was disestablished as a result of the reform of local government 1988/1989 and functions undertaken by HPDCC were taken over by the Upper Hutt City Council from 1 November 1989.
