AboutA slideshow documenting the activities of the Upper Hutt Maori cultural performance group Māwai Hakona from the 1960s to the 1980s. Compiled from photographs collected by Māwai Hakona member Eric Wood (all of which are available elsewhere on this website), it includes images taken during the group's travels throughout New Zealand and the world, such as their performance at the opening of the Sydney Opera House in 1973.
