DescriptionOne of a set of 64 images from what must have been a mid-1950s film-strip presentation by Lower Hutt City Council on over 110 years of progress.
Original description:-
"In conjunction with the establishment of new industries in the Valley there was also a rise in population. People needed to be fed. Bakeries, such as that of G.A. Williams of Lower Hutt, came into being. The bread was delivered by trap to the various households."
