DescriptionOne of a set of 64 images from what must have been a mid-1950s film-strip presentation by Lower Hutt City Council on over 110 years of progress.
Original description:-
"Although Lower Hutt was now a city, much of the land was still in bush, farms or market gardens. These market gardens were at Naenae."
Originally dated 1941; but Hutt City Library's Clark Stiles says it was printed in the 'Evening Post' in 1939.
