Details
Description'Home Grown in Upper Hutt' was produced by Peter Hall, Mark Southon and Steve Brattle, and covered 40 years of music, including items by Frankie Stevens, The Fourmyula, and Krysta Hall. It was launched on October 19, 1999.
The Rimutaka Licensing Trust was sponsoring the record, and a forthcoming 'Upper Hutt City of Song' concert on March 12, in aid of the Child Cancer Foundation.
Ashley Dingle, the small boy in the centre, had been used to promote the launch; he was nearing the end of treatment by chemotherapy and radiation. The people surrounding him probably include the production team and some of the musicians involved.
This image has been brightened, and the black background has been cropped to produce a bigger image on screen.
