Fiona Armstrong-mcIntosh "Moonshine Rd ?"
Brian Pearce "Looks like it."
Delys Saunders "That Art Deco house looks like Melrose street."
Lance King "yup"
Fiona Armstrong-mcIntosh Delys Saunders "yes ..you are right .Just drove up Moonshine and it wasn't there .Thought I could see Craig's flat in the background ...."
Joyce Stewart "Trying to figure out where that house is in Melrose Street. Bill Morris had an art deco home, across the road from us - on the T-Junction of Melrose and Bentinck (next to the McIntosh's on one side and Dr Davis on the other)) but cant work out where this one would be. The Morris home had more rounded corners on it. Would be interested to find out more!:-)"
Brian Pearce "Joyce: and others - this is not Melrose Street which is not as long as the street depicted. The hills don't match either. It seems from Shirley's comment further down this thread that it is Moonshine Road ...."
Fiona Armstrong-mcIntosh "Certainly looks like Craig's flat ."
Joyce Stewart "Thanks Brian!"
Vanessa Philp "I had a front pack for Rhys I could do stuff and still carry him around"
Brian Pearce "Marilyn Goodwin, nee Sowry - from Martin Street originally. Was married to Alastair Campbell, a local tailor. Later married Cliff Goodwin who worked for Anthony Motors, where Beaurepaires is now. Marilyn was a member of a committee I chaired 1978-80, and at that time was a member of the Heretaunga College Board of Governors. She operated a business known as Maral Baby Products .... Moved to Warkworth many years ago; I think she's still there."
Diane Hildreth "Yes Maral. When I was with Parents Centre Upper Hutt we promoted them in our magazines. I had one for my son Iain when he was a baby. They were fantastic. You could wear them back and front, adjust the straps and they provided head support which others on the market did not. I could do the veges for tea, vacuum, do the washing, all while I had in safely close to me."
Fiona Armstrong-mcIntosh "I certainly had one ...1978 ."
Gill Wilson "It was my saving grace in 1973 !"
Diane Hildreth "I lived just around the corner in Murray St."
Gail Goodwin "Lol thats my stepmother she'll be here in a few minutes from Warkworth so will show her this when she arrives"
Shirley Kittelty "Formerly Marilyn Sowry then at that time Marilyn Campbell."
Shirley Kittelty "No Joyce the house is at the top end of Moonshine Road. We visited them there as her former husband was a friend of Bill's."

Fiona Armstrong-mcIntosh" I recall Upper Hutt man Don McDonald ( car sales and Cossie club ) featured in an advertisement for these baby packs .Nice photo of him as Dad wearing one . "
Christine Oliver "All of my 4 babies were carried in a bright yellow one of these in the 1980s. I offered to sell them in Perth WA as I had so many queries about where to purchase but Marilyn was content to keep the business small and local."
Amanda McGurk "I have a brown one of these, mum used it with me & my siblings & it has been used by my sisters & I for our kids too :) only for nb before we all up-graded."
