Brentwood Manor
History
HistoryBrentwood Manor at 5 Brentwood Street, Trentham, designed by James Walter Chapman-Taylor, was built in 1930 for local GP Doctor Tweed and his wife.
The building was later acquired by a trust.
At the time of a June 9, 1999 'Leader' article, Neville Blair was running it, and was changing its use to a homestay and small conference venue. In 2002 he tried to sell the business, which had consents for a cafe and for garden weddings, but it was withdrawn in July; meanwhile it would operate as a bed and breakfast.
A later addition was the 'My Day Spa' facility.
