Paul Foote - "Just as I remember it when I was 16 that year. Used to go up town to a place called Franks Burger bar on the left hand side going north. Pool tables, pinball machines, Juke box and takaways. There was a Greek run takaway joint further up the street on the right hand side called The Shishkibab."
Grant Hamilton - "What was the Burger Bar there on the left, the "Duck in" ? A few Shenanigians outside there in it's Time !"
Martin Hope - "I don't know, but there was Coffee bar called the 77 ,on the left, talking about 'Shenanigans '".
Peter Hodgson - "Looks like just before the Mall was started and Farmers moved across the road in Main St."
Joan John Whiteman - "Yes, my Father's sports shop, last shop across the road. I always got sports gear for Christmas and birthdays."
Rose Vailima - "[Tom Jones] Mum nd Dads shop and our big rimu tree in the back ground ..great memories lol"
Ian Leslie - "Just out of camera shot on the right was The Brunswick Guest House I think?"
Peter O'Flaherty - "Bob Whiteman's Sports Shop, the last shop on that end of town... two busy sports shops Upper Hutt CBD was thriving with Dulieu's at one end and Whiteman's at the other, walking down the road with a pack and rifle didn't cause outrage."
