" I met her when she was bed ridden at 102. She lived in Logan Street next door to the Tutahi family. A fond memory." (Glenda Garrett)
"She had very limited mobility in her later years but her hands were always busy. She knitted hundreds of little animal toys and were donated for the sales tables of the various charities. I still have one now moth eaten knitted doll as well as one of her hooked rag rugs made from torn up old woollen clothing and a hand pieced quilt made from her and her daughter Flora's worn out dresses."
