Trevor Salisbury - "As kids my cousin and I used to nick a bucket of eggs for an egg fight. Great fun until Grandpa pocked his head around the corner!"
Mary Sittauer - "I recall going with my Nana to Salisburys to collect one day old chicks ( in box with small air holes) & returning home with them cheeping while on the local bus back to Silverstream."
Beverley Keating - "When we went to live in hall grove at the bottom of gibbons road in 1961, behind our house there was a huge poultry farm.going right back to the street going from Frazer street up to, well sorry I can’t remember that one. It was there for quite a while and then the chickens got taken away, and later it all was turned into housing. Bonnie Glenn and those streets were formed. Wonder if that was a part of Salisbury’s excess chickens."
Mary Howan - "Beverley Keating It probably was. The farm went all way to the river."
