HistoryVolunteers from the Church of Christ built the brick-veneered building which was dedicated to the greater glory of God on June 5th, 1960.
The foundation stone was laid by R. G. D.Russo,
President of Conference.
The minister was Geo. L. Sweet.
In February or March 1999 Paul Swain, M P, opened it as the Trentham Community Centre, as an outreach of the Church of Christ.
The 'Titiro Whakamua' or 'Looking Forward' programme, a teen-parent support group, 'found a permanent home' at the Trentham Community Centre in April or May, 1999.
In 2015 the building was being used as a the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, Wellington, NZ (Google Maps).
