Go Cake Yourself moved opposite Upper Hutt Station, where they closed temporarily for refurbishment in May 2016. Owner Anna Schouten was pictured in the July 27, 2016 'Dominion Post' with a two-layer chocolate cake topped with a model of the National Museum/Te Papa; it would be displayed at the New Zealand Chocolate Festival in August.
Go Cake Yourself was replaced in 218 by Bob Lendrum's 'Council Solutions'; this had closed by January 2016.

The window at left may be 220.
The building was bought by McDonald's in 2000 and the property management company they employed had intended to develop it as two retail outlets and eight upstairs apartments. The shop tenants first read about the proposal in the August 1, 2001 'Leader', and were sent letters by Landplan Pacific on August 10; there was no information on changes to Queen's Chambers.
