Description11; China City restaurant; had opened as Michelle's in October, 1984.
13; Chez Elle Exclusive Bridal and Evening Wear Boutique, opened August 1985; there had been perceived threats to businesses on either side in April 1982, when an amusement parlour was proposed; a Caesar's Palace further up Main Street had affected trade in shops nearby. Caesar's Palace was among businesses circulating petitions after the council approved the proposed parlour.

The main building had begun as the PSIS (Public Service Investment Services) building.
