The company began as R E Lendrum & Associates Ltd; the business was sold and now sub-contracts its engineering design work.
When Bob Lendrum left, he set up Council Solutions, across Main Street at No. 218; it has since closed.
This building was opened by Maple Furniture in May 1970. By October 1982, the furniture business awas being run by Smith & Brown.
In January 2016, the brick pedestrian crossing was replaced, probably because of damage by buses; the new one is concrete, and started with a polished surface.Date Taken25th December 2012
