Anything Goes had been bought by Lara Hunt around 2006 when she saw it was for sale, and after about four years it had four staff and a turnover of $120 000.
She became a single mum with two children in 2015, and the March 9, 2016 'leader' carried a story and picture; she would have to sell or close the business; trade had been dropping, as people were buying online or from The Warehouse. She had more than 10 000 costumes and accessories.
Anything Goes, on the top floor, was renamed 'The Loft' in 2016, and placed two advertisements in the July 27 'Leader'.
The building may have started as the Automobile Association's local office, which opened next to the Queen Street car park on September 1, 1967.Date Taken25th December 2012
