Left; the ramp to rooftop parking; originally or Hazelwoods and their Gold Room café; later for various cinemas; the Ascot, and currently the Monterey. Beyond the ramp, the Centre Walk to Main Street.
centre; Lion Court entrance to the car-park;
right, hidden by a tree; the back entrance to City Arcade.
This area had been a stock saleyard; the last sale was held on March 31, 1949, after much wrangling; it became a car park in May.
