DescriptionAs the article says, the hall would be only a few metres from the church; realistically, part of the church should be in the foreground.
The sale of the Wakefield Street site had provided sufficient funds to cover moving the church to Cruickshank Road, and the building of this new hall.
The foundation stone was laid on September 23, 1979, and the hall was dedicated on April 12, 1980; The April 8 'Leader' printed an article and pictures. The hall was designed and built by Tuohy-Lockwood.
