DescriptionPrinted in the July 5, 1972 'Leader'.
The building was a Parent-Teacher Association project; plan had been drawn up, and building might start in 1973.
The upper floor would have cafeteria facilities and a sixth-form study area; the downstairs recreation al area could also be used as a second gymnasium. (At this date, seventh forms had not been 'invented'; in many schools, second-year sixth forms studying for university bursaries were upper sixth forms; on the other hand, upper fifth forms were for students who had not passed School Certificate, and were having a second attempt.)
The Perspex (acrylic) model was made by Mr E Hanrahay, a staff member.
