DescriptionA celebration held on 4 July, 2002 to mark the 50th anniversary of the library.
In attendance were Upper Hutt Mayor Wayne Guppy, city librarian Elizabeth Griffiths, former city librarian David Lee-Smith and borough librarian in the 1960s Simon Cauchi.
Entertainment was provided by Shoebox Circus, comprised of husband and wife team balloon twister and decorator Narelle Fouche and magician, acrobat and juggler Michel Fouche, and Nigel Mander as Puzzle the Clown and Sarah Chesterfield as Nuzzels the clown.
