Geange Carrying Company Fleet

Details

DescriptionGeange carrying company fleet taken roughly 1937-1938. The vehicles are Ford V8's with the exception of the unusual looking cabbed vehicle at the far end which may be a Reo Speedwagon. The first vehicle from the right is the sheep crate, the second one is a bus, which was used for charter work and school bus work. Apparently Kenneth Geange always drove the school bus himself, such was his sense of responsibility.
Going from the right, the first person is thought to be Mr Kelly, the next one is Kenneth Sylvanus Geange and standing next to him is Len Benge, who had Benge's Garage in Princes Street. The Garage backed onto the Geange carrying company and there was a door through the wall so that when work was required on trucks it was a simple matter of simply taking them through the door to the Benge garage. The person at the far-left hand end is Benny McGeeDate Takennot specifiedGeotagnot specified
