Lol in 1960 my late brother decided to run away from home age 6
We lived at the end of Moeraki Road , in those days there were 2 ministry of works houses there , one us the Stephenson family, the other family the Pope family and the ministry of works depot
The Maori Bank shopkeeper managed to catch my brother as he was going to jump off the Maori Bank bridge as it was February and very hot
My brother thought a swim would be good before he tried running away to Auckland
