    Grant Hamilton - "Is that Chris Parrys Dad ?"

    Martin Hope - "yep,and a lovely man. Tom Parry helped us out so much in the early days."

    Grant Hamilton - "He had the most interesting yard in town."

    Martin Hope - "yes, all those trucks and motors, we had a band practice in his shed, spare parts everywhere.."

    Ken Nabbs - "Their yard was on the corner of Whakatiki and Masefield streets"

    Wayne Fisk - "Before that it was in King Street. The last yard was in Te Marua. If you want to see Tom part [sic] do a job everyone said couldn't be done look up "moving the Shamrock Hotel"
