"my grandmother Myra Melville (nee Geange) spoke so very fondly of the Benge family"

"Near the present day Twin Lakes at Te Marua. The bridge was erected by May Morn Estates NZ Ltd (an English company) in about 1912. It was taken out of use the day after the first world war started. Investors in London lost lots of money."
Lynette Manning :"My Grandma"
Mark Walkington: "Lynette Manning My honorary Aunty Myrt - my grandma was her good friend Annie Reilly and we often went to visit - guess in the years (for me) 1968 to 1973 - I have a lot of fond memories of the old house in Henry Street and the mysterious garage, vintage cars etc. And lots of home baking!"
Lynette Manning: "Mark Walkington yes lots of memories of spending Sunday afternoon at granny's house with my cousins and enjoying the home made cookies"
Rose Vailima: "Mark Walkington agree with all those sentiments honary to me also as sister May married Hector Poulson my uncle and spent many happy times walking there from Queen St as young as l can remember with Grandpa Hazelwood...l remember when u Grandma Anne used to come to our house often"
