    Darren Johns - "I remember my Standard 3 class been down by Pizza Hut and our teacher Mr Dobson kissing Princess Di's hand."

    Rebecca Anderson - "I was there… I shook Prince Charles hand, Diana was on the other side of the street…"

    Charlotte Marsh - "We had not long arrived in NZ and we went. We were given flags to wave and kept them for years in the glass display cabinet. Someone put me on his shoulders so I could get a good look. They came right up close to us, I remember being told."
