    By: Brian J. Pearce18th Jul 2014 11:07PMThis was the second bridge at this site. It was built in 1903 alongside (just upstream of) the original bridge which was opened to traffic (to Silverstream at that stage) on 15 December 1875.
    This second bridge remained in use until the opening of a single line over the present rail bridge some distance to the north on the morning of 21 November 1954. The bridge was not completely dismantled until 1957.
