This is NOT a 1960 photograph. Determining features are: the railway turntable is still extant (removed circa Sept. 1959); Heretaunga College's first gymnasium is not there (built 1959); the redwood tree opposite church on east side Pine Avenue is still there (felled 20 July 1957); the first railway station is still in place south of the new one.
