"Haley Lethbridge Me and my Dad would walk around the corner to get mince and cheese pies from there while mum was at work. They had the best pies of anywhere I have tried."23/02/16
"Bruce Billington It was started by Nick Hansen who was the son of Bill Hansen who taught metalwork part time at U.H. College. However Bill was the inspiration for it. He went home one night complaining to his son that it was impossible to buy a decent pie. Nick's pies were incredible." 23/02/16
"Dave Strang I lived in Trentham Camp and then Ascot Lodge on Camp road about '69-'70 and The Camp Rd Tea Rooms down the corner on Fergie Drive had beautiful cheese topped mince pies! We would sit down there eating one of these for brecky, deciding whether it was work or surf. About the same time there was 'The Real Pie Shop' on Camp Road also, but next to Ascot Lodge. Great pies also with big chunks of beef and delish gravey etc" 24/02/16
"Lisa Jones The only chicken pies I have ever enjoyed were the ones from Trentham Pie Shop and their steak pies were to die for too! I nearly cried when I returned to Upper Hutt only to find they had recently sold the business and the new owners knew nothing about the art of making perfect pies..."24/02/16
