They had been allowed to set up a clinic for two doctors in a house behind this building, after River Road opened, and Fergusson Drive traffic decreased, in 1987.
Geraldine's building was taken over by Trentham Pie Shop and Bakery.
The May 21, 1991 'Leader' printed a picture of her after she received a certificate of pharmacy practice rom Otago University. For her elective study she had surveyed purchases of antihistamines in Wellington and Hutt Valley pharmacies in November 1990, and customers' preferences for products.
The January 30 2002 'Leader' printed a picture of Geraldine in the Fergusson Drive shop; she was closing it on January 31, because that was the day that patient subsidy cards expired. The business would transfer to Lagan's pharmacy.
Not mentioned in the article; the Fergusson Drive business bought by Miss Geraldine Loftus in 1963 at 455A Main Road was in this identical building
