My grandparents bought their section at 52 Whitemans Road off Mr Godber, starting building in 1945 & lived there til early 2000s. Would be near to that bulge on the left. Mum recalls his house being full of Maori carvings, used to be neighbours. My grandfather was also a railways employee...
