HistoryThe catering facilities were used by various organisations; for instance, they were mentioned in 1985 Smith and Walding advertising, which mentioned a range of venues and menus.
An October 1, 1985 advertisement listed two new lounges, the Rosehill and Randwick, which were complementary to the existing Oaks Room, President's Room, and Derby Lounge; all were designed to cater for the comfort of racegoers, but were also available for weddings, social events and conferences.
The Rugby Club's 75th-anniversary dinner was held there.
The grounds were used by General Motors for at least one Christmas party around 1970, and the infield was used by Hutt International Boys' Schol as a sports ground.
