DescriptionThe buoy was made for Hutchwilco Ltd, and had a rigid polyurethane foam in an orange polyethylene covering; it won a 1989 'other products' award from the Plastics institute of New Zealand.

Acma had won the same award in 1988, for their 'Zaf' chair.

John Hutcheson and Thomas Wilson established Hutcheson Wilson & Co Ltd on Jervois Quay, Wellington, New Zealand in 1894, as ships' chandlers.

A greyscale image was printed in the 'Leader' on May 9, 1989.

Alan died on December 31, 2016; an obituary was printed in the January 25, 2017 'Leader'.
