DescriptionShe was a foundation member of the Māori Education Foundation, Māwai Hakona cultural association, Maori Women's Welfare League and Upper Valley Marae Community Centre, better known as Ōrongomai Marae; since the idea emerged more than 10 years earlier, she had been deeply involved in its establishment and subsequent operation.
