DescriptionMark and Fiona Rammell owned Plant Express in King Charles Drive. Wellington Plant Wholesalers advertised a closing sale there, starting in the October 2, 1996 'Leader'.
They had bought this site and hoped to have the first stage ready by Labour Day, 1995.
Features would include a licensed café and tearooms, reception area with seating for 120, garden centre, craft shop and general store.
Mark was an airline pilot, and hoped to have an adjacent airstrip for scenic flights.
Printed in the 'Leader' in colour on August 1, 1994 with a plan and elevation of the main building, and a plan of the car parking relative to the building.
After the opening, the November 22, 1995 'Leader' printed a full-page advertisement for the associated garden centre.
