DescriptionA silver teacup was presented to the first baby born into the newly proclaimed city of Upper Hutt. The winner was Jane Scobie.
A greyscale image was printed in the 'Leader' on May 4 and 25, 1966.
The inscription on the cup states:
"PRESENTED BY
THE MAYOR
on behalf of
THE CITIZENS
OF
UPPER HUTT
TO
THE FIRST BABY BORN TO
THE NEW CITY
Proclaimed May 28, 1966".
