The Fergusson Drive frontage is at right; the motor inn entrance has been fenced off.
Planning permission had been granted to the Gibbs Family Partnership, which would invest $800 000 in the conversion, which would provide a 45-bed stage 1, 2 and 3 rest home and ancillary facilities.
The restaurant would become the lounge and dining area; the hospital wing would be established in the conference rooms and manager's residence.
