DescriptionOne of a pair of charts printed in the 'Leader' on August 15, 1994.
The original was some sort of photocopy, badly and unevenly faded. A lithography instruction had been pasted on the back, and mostly torn off; it was responsible for the wrinkled surface.
The contrast has been increased and brightness reduced in three successive stages.
A matching chart plotted percentage changes in price, for the first half of 1994; from a gain of 11.8% in Auckland to a loss of 0.5% in Upper Hutt, with Lower Hutt (+0.7%) and Wellington (+2.0%) next, at the bottom of the table
