DescriptionDuring a review of Upper Hutt schools it had been suggested that Silverstream and Pinehaven schools merge on two sites, with one principal; that position was advertised nationally, and Greig felt that it would not work, and did not apply While the review was going on, the Life Education Trust advertised for a national education manager, and Greig's application was successful.

He had been at Silverstream School for 2-1/2 years, and had previously been head of Totara Park School from August 1993.
