DescriptionLife Education Trust regional director David Buck and Rimutaka Prison general manager Dave East are shown with a workbook produced by the trust and illustrated and translated by prison inmates.
Edwin, a tattooist, had provided illustrations for this book, which was the first of a series for schoolchildren, and looked at he human body and diet. Another prisoner, Mokena, had translated it into te reo Māori.
More than 200 prisoners had looked through the trust's mobile classroom, which was equipped with working models of the human body and its functions.
