Miss Sutton had been with the Salvation Army for many years, and had given up much time to train and help others. She was also a volunteer at the Army's thrift shop, and helped out weekly at the Citizens' Advice Bureau and with monthly training.
her little red Mazda was a familiar sight, and she often used it to transport fellow residents of the Norman Kirk Home to the shops or to medical appointments; sometimes as far as Wellington.
Barry Pettengell was the manager at Gorrie Auto Services, where the surprise presentation of a special plaque and a $500 Caltex voucher was made.was made.
