DescriptionPrinted in colour in the 'Leader' on December 18, 1996; the office had opened on Friday the 13th.
Paul had won the Heretaunga electorate for the labour party; sitting member Peter McCardle had switched to New Zealand First, and had competed with National's Karen Bisdee.
With MMP voting, electorates were larger; members with extensive electorates could have an extra office; his other one was in Taita.
This office was at 204 Main Street; current member Chris Hipkiss's office is still in Queen's Chambers, but at No. 214. (204 is Visique on Main.)
