Mr R. Collings of Upper Hutt was recently announced as the winner of a Grocery Grab organised by the Trentham School Playground Fundraising Committee.
The winning ticket entitled him to grab as many groceries as possible from the local Woolworths supermarket in three minutes.
However, instead of taking part himself, Mr Collings donated his ticket to the foodbank.
Last week Dorothy Stevens managed to grab $628.56 worth of goods on behalf of the foodbank.
The money raised by the Fundraising Committee will go towards a new playground for junior pupils at Trentham School.'
