DescriptionIt was St Hilda's Day, and the church was celebrating its 90th anniversary of its consecration, and the 25th anniversary of its move from Main Street to Cruickshank Road.
Lane Oliver and Frank Jeffrey were original vestry members; Marie Benge was a former Sunday School student and one of the longest-serving members of the congregation.
Lane Oliver and his daughter were pictured in the May 20, 1980 'Leader'; in 12 years of service, he had been a vestryman, and then retired as People's Warden; Carole, 18, had been elected to the vestry.
