DescriptionPicture found with those for July 6, 1992; probably printed in a 'Valley Weekender' on July 3, promoting the seven-day opening of Maidstone Mall.
The Write Price supermarket was offering a trolley loaded with $1500-worth of goods, including a microwave oven, with tickets drawn on July 26. Another trolley picture, with details of the promotion, was printed on July 13.
Mall Manager Cathryn McNeill is on the left, the owner of Write Price Food Barn Peter Martin is in the centre, and Promotions Manager Andrew Dewhurst is on the right.
Another picture showed the 'Footrot Flats' dog with children and brightly-coloured play equipment.
Write Price closed in February 1993, after 8 months.
