DescriptionPrinted in colour in a full-page ‘Leader’ advertisement on September 26, 1994; the firm was holding a third-birthday sale at the weekend.
They had begun in August 1990, when they gave a telephone number; customers could ring and describe their needs, and Plant Express would come with a ute-load of possible answers to choose from, with no obligation.
They added a retail garden centre in September 1991.
When they opened Kaitoke Country Gardens in 1995, they were Mark and Fiona Rammell.
Wellington Plant Wholesalers advertised a closing sale, starting in the October 2, 1996 'Leader'. The site is now used by the Upper Hutt Animal Rescue Society.
