DescriptionPrinted in colour in the 'Leader' on March 6, 1995. The sculpture is 'Fountain Head', by Bodhi Vincent, of Paremata, and would beset on a cairn at the edge of a pool; water would spout from its mouth.
The Cosgroves had bought the 270 acres in the Akatarawa Valley in 1980
At this stage they were listing some 2500 rhododendrons,100 flowering cherries and 12 000 daffodils, interspersed with about 20 large pieces of sculpture. They were proposing to popen each year from September to mid-autumn.Date TakenFebruary/March 1995Geotag[1]
