DescriptionPrinted in colour in the 'Leader' on April 17, 1995. Mark Fink also appeared on the cover.
The hats replaced heavier and cooler white plastic helmets, and were intended to prevent sunburn.
The article named the hats as akubra (no capital) and mentioned 'Ocker', but said the hats were made in Lower Hutt; Akubra is an Australian brand, and these hats probably should not be thought of as 'akubras'; Akubra-style, maybe?
