She was presented with her certificate at a New York convention. The two dolls she presented scored 88% and 95%; every part except the body had to be hand-made.
She had been making dolls for eleven years, and had owned Veronica Ann's Doll Shop in Lower Hutt's Station Village, before retiring.
She was one of 25 New Zealanders with the Master's degree, and was now working towards a Grand Master's degree, and already had an idea for a doctorate thesis.
She had founded the New Zealand Doll federation in 1990, had been president of the Wellington Porcelain Dollmakers Club for five years, and was a life member of the Rose City Dollmakers Club.
